About SLICTA
With the graduation of the ICT Cluster, formed under the aegis of The Competitiveness Initiative (TCI), which is a USAID funded activity, the Sri Lanka Information and Communication Technology Association (SLICTA) was founded in 2003 as a membership based apex body of ICT related trade associations and professional bodies in Sri Lanka. SLICTA's vision is to be recognized as the independent, unified organization representing Sri Lanka's ICT industry.
The core mission aims of SLICTA include the following:
- Promotion - to create and develop market opportunities for the ICT industry - foster and develop Sri Lankan ICT firms
- Human Resource Development - to guide and encourage the development and sustenance of required human capital
- Competitiveness Initiative - to facilitate the development and sustenance of companies' competitiveness
- Government Interface - to advocate the development and sustenance of an effective policy environment
